Penang Village, Alamanda Putrajaya

not so long ago, nana, jon and i went to Penang Village in Alamanda for lunch. kitorang baru balik dari Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon carnival.. so we were hungry and hot. and we decided to have early lunch at Alamanda hehe.. nak aircond.
the restaurant is located outside on second floor. near bayou. they serve local Malay and Nyonya and also Chinese cuisines. they had pai tee.. which reminds me of my opah chik. during hari raya she always made pai tee.. we called it popai back then. mama said it's because it's like popia but terbalik. so that's why it's called popai. hehe :)
they have many branches all around KL, 1 in Sabah, and also several in Indonesia - Taman Tun, Hartamas, Alamanda, Berjaya Times Square, IOI Mall Puchong.
they have funnily named drinks.. concoction of different fruits and vegetables to make refreshing drinks.. i had jungle book - i think it had mint + lemon + apple.. it's yummy and also refreshing. perfect for us after the whole morning under the sun.

for appetizers, we ordered pai tee and also wonton.. which were delicious! the wontons were small and crunchy just the way i like it..hehe :) suke mak..

my main course was tom yum fried rice. they serve it with kerabu mangga yang sangaaaattt sedap. and keropok. i don't think it's chinese.. or nyonya. tak kisah la yang penting sedap. hehe..

the Kerabu Mangga accompanies Tom Yum Fried Rice.. ok don't tell me this is Nyonya.. :P but they taste gooooooooddd..:)

then nana and jon decided to have desserts.. ermm i was supposed to be on diet. tapi ermm what the heck. i wanted one also lah.

the green tea ice cream with red beans. this one's really nice. jon had this one.. i think

nana's desserts sago gula melaka. i'd feel guilty ordering this coz mama makes the best sago. hehe :P sorry ek penang village :)

ABC special. i know.. too chef like kan? mm.. i think luckily got icecream otherwise i wouldn't eat it. hehe :P

price wise.. not so bad. considering the ambient, the service, the food presentation. some people who have eaten here before said the service was slow. but ermm.. it's ok, i guess. i didn't notice them being slow. i remembered it to be a good place to eat.. the food was excellent. mm i shud'v brought mama here. maybe on my birthday i'll give mama a treat kat sini .. she'd love it. :)
